I went today with my family for my son's birthday breakfast. From the beginning to the end of our experience there was amazing. There was a 15 minutes wait which is ok seeing that it's a holiday weekend. Food is locally sourced which I adore. There is a drink bar which is super dope and they do serve specialty drinks. We ordered beignets with mixed berry sauce 10/10. I ordered flank steak with potatoes eggs pancakes, hubby ordered a skillet which came with pancakes and he upgraded the pankes, both my sons got the original breakfast meal with extra bacon and chicken sausage, and coffee n soda(free refill for both). Cold water is present at the table when you get there in a sealed bottle. It's a clean environment, staff is constantly busy but consistent in checking on you. Jazy was super nice, great attitude , helpful and accommodating. I love this place and it was our first time there everything was a 10/10 for us we will definitely be back.
We went on a Monday around 11 and it was pretty busy but we were seated and served very quickly. We ordered orange juice and iced coffee followed by their fall-themed caramelized apple crepes and the down on the farm skillet. Everything was delicious and perfect portions! Only spent about 50 bucks. Great diner vibe with plenty of booths.
When we visit Milwaukee, the Mad Rooster is always a planned stop. Food here is excellent. Creative flavors, perfect portions and tons of options. So many house made items. I always want to try something new. Highly recommended!
Mad rooster Cafe has something for everyone. Breakfast traditional or how about some yummy breakfast tacos or chilaquiles Eggs egg benedict takes an exciting turn when you have it on rye toast with corned beef hash Chicken and waffles with the fluffiest waffles and the crispiest tender chicken you ever did try. Did I mention that they bring you a bottle of warm syrup? Why are you waiting. The staff here is so friendly and eager to offer suggestions, all of which are delicious. Mad Rooster we will be back
Please use the old corned beef recipe. Been coming here for several years for the corned beef hash that use to be amazing and like no other place around. It’s pretty special. They were round, tender, flavorful and could shred with fork. These were cut up in square chunks, tough, same seasoning which is very good, but definitely not the same as old corned beef. Everything else was still great.
My book club & I met here for a meeting and the food & the service were great! When we arrived we were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. Unfortunately we ended up waiting over 45 minutes I think there was a mix up with another big group they seated not too sure. Because we were meeting for book club & our time was limited this caused a couple of the ladies to have to skip out on eating and/or leave early. That was the only reason our experience wasn't 5 stars. The menu variety was enormous and every single thing we ordered came out fresh and delicious our server was Juan and he was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely return
First time visiting and loved it! Great breakfast, courteous service and pretty quick food preparation here. We went in a group of almost 20 people ans we were very accomadated. Nice clean areas. Very well decorated, vintage themes and items throught restaurant. I noticed a coffee area (if anyone is waiting to be seated) where you can serve something to drink (note: fees apply to your total). We were quickly seated and drink refills kept coming pretty smoothly. Will come back for sure.
